Job Title: Business Insights Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Business Insights Analyst to join a data and analytics team. In this role, you will leverage strong expertise in SQL databases, business intelligence tools, and analytics to deliver actionable insights through reporting and ad hoc analysis. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, translate data into insights, and support data-driven decision-making.

This role requires a solid understanding of business intelligence processes, data management best practices, and sales or operational workflows. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end research and analysis of business opportunities with minimal direction
• Build financial models and develop comprehensive business intelligence reports
• Partner with business units as a trusted analytics consultant to support enterprise-wide decision-making
• Improve efficiency of recurring reports and monthly processes; track and enhance key performance indicators
• Implement reporting improvements through automation and system integration
• Collaborate with data warehousing and data engineering teams on data modeling and pipeline requirements
• Support and guide the development of analytics systems and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Domo, and cloud-based SQL platforms
• Deliver insightful analysis and reporting to support sales, category management, and operational teams
• Mentor and train junior analysts on data systems, analytics workflows, and data visualization best practices

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
• 2+ years of experience working with large, complex datasets to produce reports and actionable insights
• 2+ years of experience creating visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
• 2+ years of experience with SQL; experience with Python, R, or other analytical languages preferred
• 2+ years of experience with ETL processes or data engineering concepts preferred
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or similar) preferred
